Resident Water Info
Water Service Responsibilities & Leak Notifications
The City of Kress wants to ensure that all residents clearly understand their responsibilities when it comes to water service.
-
City Responsibility: The City is responsible for maintaining and servicing the water system up to the city meter.
-
Resident Responsibility: From the meter to your home (including all water lines, connections, and plumbing on your property), residents are responsible for maintenance, repairs, and leak detection.
If a leak or issue occurs on your property, the City will do what we can to assist and advise, but the responsibility for repairs lies with the property owner.
